we would like to apologize for slacking at our very serious duties to the blogging world. its been very busy lately, what with driving up to a different Skeen family event every weekend, which has been a real treat because we don't get to see much of that side very often. well anyway, i would love to go through every detail of the fun couple weeks but we are all too busy for that so i will just highlight one particular adventure. while in the beautiful McCall, Idaho last weekend, hunter and i took bikes to the top of a ski lift and mountain biked down. it was BEAUTIFUL, but being the girly girl that i am it was a struggle to say the least (this emotion conveyed in one of the pictures below). 7 miles and about 2 hours later, we were very proud of ourselves and ready for fireworks and ice cream.
Later that night, setting up camp by the GORGEOUS McCall Lake to watch the fireworks.
Also of note: my most/least favorite NFL star is delving into the reality etertainment business: The T.O. Show. I can do nothing but laugh at this.
the other day, er.. the month, (ok i'm a little behind on my blogging) hunter and i decided to spruce up our apartment with a splash of color. of course i had all these crazy ideas thanks to my recently developed obsession with "better homes and gardens," and i decided what better place to experiment than on the walls of our rental apartment. hunter was extremely wary about this project, but being the visionary that i am, i was resolved to striping our living room wall and could not be stopped. 4o yards of blue tape, a gallon of "cracked wheat" paint, and 1 national spelling bee (for entertainment) later, i think it turned out pretty dang cute. even hunter loves it, which means it appeals to both sophisticated and callow design taste buds! ha just kidding turkey. as my little sister meg would say in her best borat impression: "great success!"
bahaha i love my hubz.
nevermind the fact that i look like i have a terminal illness.
tape is up! it was all downhill from there. revealing the final product.
this is our first post to the glorious a&h blog! i decided in order to avoid confusion concerning which spouse is the author of the post (as many hus-wife blogs neglect to consider) we will write our names in the blog title. so right now its me aubrey! this is an exciting step for our marriage, and to celebrate i will include my favorite wedding picture.
