Evans family reunion
The only way the Evans family reunion could have been any more perfect was if my wonderful husband were able to come. Sadly, he had just started his new job (which is going great by the way) and was unable to play hooky for a week and a half. Tres sad, but the party must go on, so I left him to fend for himself while I enjoyed some quality Evans time at a gorgeous multi-million $$ beach house in the OBX.
A little "Ninja Warrior" fun on the beach. It is a real game, and we really did shamelessly play it in public. It would be hard to argue there is any cooler family in the world.

When we weren't getting thrown around by the giant OBX waves and dodging thousands of jellifish, you could find us propped up in a line with our toes in the water. Gabbing away. Drinking cokes (except mama).

One morning we woke up at 5:30am to watch the sunrise over the water. Then we went back to sleep, duh.

COOLEST PART of the trip: outrageous thunder storm. The thunder was louder than I ever heard it, the ocean was going crazy, and then the power went out. Luckily there was no one in the elevator (yes, there was an elevator in the house.)
Kate and Dan went running around in the rain and were thus soaking wet for 48 hours.
A view from the upstairs living room. Not too shabby, eh?

I can't help myself.

Above is Andrew Wyeth's "Cristina's World." He is the first artist I ever wrote a paper on. I was flipping through an art book trying to find a piece to write on for my Writing class that I took in Vienna, Austria. This painting stopped me in my tracks, and thus my love of art was born (went on to get a minor, by then I was too far into the Ad program to be a major, and am STILL trying to find a way to break into the art world without going back to school for 3 years.) Anyway, someday I will have a giant reproduction of it on my wall. Isn't it so whimsical and dreamy, yet haunting?
WOW OKAY
Peterson family reunion, Grandparents 50th Anniversary, the big move to HB (boxes, packing, truck, driving across west USA, unpacking truck, unpacking boxes, vowing to never move again), Evans family reunion, decorating the apartment, finding a job, baseball games ALL the time, etc etc.
Pics of all of the above to come soon.
In the meantime, I leave you with this, a few peaks at the vision which is my future home (there is plenty more where this came from, I have a shoebox full of cutout pictures from old BHG magazines that I keep under my bed):

Welcome to the OC
We have moved down here safely. Aubrey followed me down a week after I got here becuase she had to work in Provo for an extra week. I love being back in Southern California except two of the three weeks that I have been here, Aubrey hasn't even been here. This week, she's in North Carolina on a beach at an Evans family reunion. She won't be back till WHO KNOWS WHEN. I just hang out, work and i'm playing golf this Saturday.
I delivered one of my first medical equipment device yesterday and as I was leaving... MY CAR'S BATTERY BLEW UP. So I had to call AAA luckily thanks to my parents card and the guy came out to fix my car and when I tried to turn it over, the battery blew up in his face...literally. The cap of the battery of mine, hit him in the face. Freaked me out and I had to pour water all over his head and face. We were in Orange, CA, this is what the top of his head looked like.

No longer newlyweds!
Sorry for the lack of posting. Heres this:
Hunter and I went to Mexico for our 1 year anniversary. It was fun. 1 year of marriage and we are still in love. Baby steps. He bought me a beautiful Mexican sterling silver and turquoise ring to celebrate 1 year of loving, sharing, communicating, compromising, fighting, making up, and growing. It is everything I have ever wanted in a ring and more.
I know, I know- I have midge hands. I am so lucky to have this amazing guy, and obviously he is so lucky to have me. Haha.

graduation weekend
I did it! Against few odds, I have graduated from college! Yay for me. This weekend was a total blast and full of much needed r&r. After the boring graduation events and TOO MANY restaurant excursions on Thursday and Friday, Hunter and I spent the weekend up in Midway with my parents and grandparents. Is there a more beautiful place in Utah? Bike rides, golfing, BBQs, the jazz game, reading by the fire, pedicures, shopping, singing songs on the Ukalaili with my grammy, and Yahtzee (I had THREE Yahtzees in one game: post-grad luck).
At my mom's book signing at the BYU Bookstore- she is the cutest thing ever, second to her new book "Who Loves the Little Lamb?"
