Evans family reunion

The only way the Evans family reunion could have been any more perfect was if my wonderful husband were able to come. Sadly, he had just started his new job (which is going great by the way) and was unable to play hooky for a week and a half. Tres sad, but the party must go on, so I left him to fend for himself while I enjoyed some quality Evans time at a gorgeous multi-million $$ beach house in the OBX.

A view from the upstairs living room. Not too shabby, eh?
A little "Ninja Warrior" fun on the beach. It is a real game, and we really did shamelessly play it in public. It would be hard to argue there is any cooler family in the world.
When we weren't getting thrown around by the giant OBX waves and dodging thousands of jellifish, you could find us propped up in a line with our toes in the water. Gabbing away. Drinking cokes (except mama).
One morning we woke up at 5:30am to watch the sunrise over the water. Then we went back to sleep, duh.
COOLEST PART of the trip: outrageous thunder storm. The thunder was louder than I ever heard it, the ocean was going crazy, and then the power went out. Luckily there was no one in the elevator (yes, there was an elevator in the house.) Kate and Dan went running around in the rain and were thus soaking wet for 48 hours.
My cousin Rebecca teaching Grams how to clog. On Friday we went to the sand dunes, which was around 9am and already scorching hot.
Anddd this is about when my camera died and I was without charger. So, the end.
