I can't help myself.
Above is Andrew Wyeth's "Cristina's World." He is the first artist I ever wrote a paper on. I was flipping through an art book trying to find a piece to write on for my Writing class that I took in Vienna, Austria. This painting stopped me in my tracks, and thus my love of art was born (went on to get a minor, by then I was too far into the Ad program to be a major, and am STILL trying to find a way to break into the art world without going back to school for 3 years.) Anyway, someday I will have a giant reproduction of it on my wall. Isn't it so whimsical and dreamy, yet haunting?
The cat is awesome, but the painting is actually of a zombie. Little known fact.

ReplyDeleteWhen i first saw this post, I thought this was your new apartment and I almost died. That cat is ALMOST as cute as the sand cat from the zoo.
